  1. Edited together a couple videos from both the soundcheck and the show. Apologies for the shakiness, didn't realize that I had digital video stabilization turned on. Can also find some pictures from both the soundcheck and the show here, as well as the raw video files. https://1drv.ms/f/s!AjUAT_8QMCksj7pz4EChrPbRpmg1sQ
  2. My gf and I were in the same boat. Showed up around 350 thinking we were early and turns out the soundcheck was almost over. Oh well, got enough of it to justify the VIP tickets.
  3. Alberta always seems to have its share of drunks at Matt's shows. Being that the show tonight is at a casino I hope it doesn't get too bad. I'll be taking some pics and video during the VIP and show tonight. Will try to have them up asap.
  4. Thanks NonPopulus! Was having the same issue as others with the code. Fortunately I wasn't planning on sitting first row anyways, really sucks for those who were looking to though. Row 5 tix for me.
  5. No problem. The mix was actually pretty good, I even stood in several different places and there was no noticeable change (had to keep moving as people kept wedging themselves in front of me and blocking my view). First live recording I've done with a Lumia 950XL. Definitely blows my iPhone 6S Plus out of the water.
  6. Here's some pics from Saturday's show. https://www.flickr.com/photos/48004031@N06/albums/72157670780465621 And here's a few video clips. Apologies for the shakiness, didn't realize I had digital video stabilisation enabled, which makes the video look shakier than normal. Was also getting bumped quite a bit -_- Setlist was definitely great considering it was a festival show. As girl mentioned a few songs were cut due to the fireworks. Show also started late as they were trying to give fans who are coming from the Eskimos game time to get in. https://youtu.be/5pYdVyr0GrU https://youtu.be/rHYEKai2tJI https://youtu.be/iVBFlKdF3fo
  7. Setlist from tonight's K-Days show in Edmonton. Got some pics and vids that I'll probably put up tomorrow if I have time. Giant Load me up/carmelina A single explosion Born losers Kid down the well Sons and daughters No liars Cold water Alert status red Hello time bomb Apparitions Weapon Everything is automatic Cloudbusting
  8. Here's Los Alamos from last night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjHYNg4oF2c
  9. Hmm I tried that, but all that ends up happening is it displays the link with in front of it. Ugh, I must be missing something.....
  10. I'd have to say for me this ranks up there with the Vancouver tour. Great setlist, Matt's and the band's performances were spot on, and the show had this nice energy to it. Also really nice to see Stu on guitar again, that guy can really play!
  11. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to use the tag to embed these videos. Can anyone help me out? In the meantime the links are below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIEN6bSpJXo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLDVF5i8ljU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trxFsR3Ur5s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd-jUXRBdkc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjHYNg4oF2c
  12. Here's some pics from last night. The first 9 pics are from the VIP event/soundcheck/acoustic. https://www.flickr.com/photos/48004031@N06/sets/72157661405270456 Also going to post some videos in the tour video thread. Got part of the into plus the first half of AYSAD, A Single Explosion, part of Cold Water, Army of Lions (gets a little shaky when Matt goes into the crowd), and Los Alamos. Wish I would've recorded Girls In Black though. Matt went deep into the crowd near the end of the song, and was climbing over stuff. Was definitely something to see.
  13. Thanks Marcella, sounds like I'll have plenty of time then. Gonna try recording some songs on Friday seeing as I'm 8th row centre. Wish I still had my Lumia 1520, but my 6S Plus will suffice.
  14. Reading about everyone's experiences here is making me pretty excited for Friday's concert in Edmonton. For those who have attended the VIP soundcehck/q&a/acoustic, roughly how long was it? Just trying to see how much time I'll have to grab some food after haha.
  15. For those who pre-ordered off of Maple Music, is the entire album available for download? So far for me it only shows the 4 songs released as a bonus for pre-ordering.
  16. Got my tickets (and VIP packages) to the Edmonton show. This reminds me how much I hate Ticketmaster -_-. 8th row, centre, main floor. Looks like lots of people getting presale tix.
  17. The full album if anyone's interested in listening to their new stuff https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL01XjHYXPLSNHnO9-M-x2C-Ry2cN-mf7I
  18. Not sure how many Hurt fans are on here, but they're releasing a new album consisting of b-sides and demos, http://preorder.hurtmerch.com/ What's really cool is that it comes with a second disc which has J Loren adding some thoughts about each song's lyrics, recording history, and other interesting info. IMHO they're a very underrated band, and it's nice to see some positive things happening for them in future.
  19. Limblifter always put on a great show. And having not heard any of the songs off the album (other than Dopamine and live versions of Hotel Knife) the songs off of Pacific Milk that they played live sounded great to me! So maybe I went into the album with higher standards, but I feel like you both.....disappointed. This is after roughly a week of listening. A lot of the songs sound eerily similar as Manchalivin noted, and I can definitely hear some similarities to Mounties (Hawksley Workman helped work on the album I believe, others from Mounties might have as well, don't quite remember). In comparison to other Limblifter albums Pacific Milk definitely lacks a range of songs. It's a good album, but not as good their others IMHO. Cast a Net, Hotel Knife, Under the Riot, The Fauves, and Position Open are the the only songs I've ended up not skipping. I may feel differently in a month or so though, who knows. Live show still kicked ass at least!
  20. Some pics and vids from last night's show in Edmonton. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL01XjHYXPLSO3cYkmGnvNG7zFK0jKgOWd https://www.flickr.com/photos/48004031@N06/sets/72157651492474231/ Setlist was roughly the same as the Vancouver one (at least it seemed like it to me).
  21. I cancelled my pre-order as I thought they would ship it near the album release, kinda bummed about doing that now haha. Oh well, I'll pick up a copy from their show in Edmonton this weekend anyways, and hopefully get it autographed.
  22. Stu was absolutely brilliant on guitar. The Vancouver tour has been my favourite one so far because of him. The guitar solo in the live version Empty's Theme Park is one of my most memorable moments of his.
  23. Got my tickets for the Edmonton show. Saw them back in 2012 when they did a short tour. It was fairly small as it wasn't advertised too much, which ended up being a good thing as I got to chat with Ryan and Megan after the show. Was a hell of a good time!
