Yeah Generation X-Wing rocks. Though I can tell the lot of us like MGB better I have much more respect for Matthew Good as a solo artist. Sure he's not as "spunky" and "badass" as he was in the MGB days but he's turned out to be a cool guy. Though he should wear the masks again on his next tour... For old times sake ;)

It is a bit hard to choose, because each consecutive album is a departure from the previous. Personally, I think the odds are 50-50 that if the band was still around today, they would sound just like Matt the solo artist, as he did most of the song writing anyway. That's why I picked MGB.

post mgb for sure. he's still got Rich and the music is a step ahead. having met and seen the current ensemble many, many times, I have to say I enjoy them live far more than during the mgb days.

as far as the new tunes, I think they are far more thoughtful, and they rock harder. That, and Matts voice is much stronger.

I would say AMtt good BAnd made better whole albums,,, However Matts solo stuff has very good well written songs.

I mean ya the CDS rocked MGB was awsome,,,But with his solo stuff he got more personal and so did the producting.. Thats why I loved Avalanch so much the production process was amazing,,,

But yeah the Band was pretty cool!!!

well.. i think it's hard to tell. there is twice as much band material out there then solo material... when you look back, you might think more of the band but thats just because you know more.

but some people will just like the band more. who knows.

I'd say Matt Good alone, because even though there was a combined effort before, Matt was still the frontman, and he always will be. He's progressed a lot in his songwriting and has become a more mature person. I think he's in a better environment now, but that's not to say I don't love the MGB.
