I'm really quite happy with the set lists so far. It sounded like from all indications before the tour he would be playing a few more songs acoustically though, I guess Aparitions is all he is doing at the moment. To be honest, I don't really think Champions of Nothing is all that great of an opener, I've never liked that song all that much really. I think it would be better if he opened with something a bit more heavy to get people going (maybe Alert Status Red or Put Out Your Lights). Overall though I think the set list is pretty good.

When you get there go to the soundboard and talk to Paul.  Ask him if you can have his setlist after the show.  He's a really nice guy and as long as you don't give him shit or annoy him he'll probably give it to you.  He actually came out to find me with it.

thanks for the setlist, monochrome. i'm terrible at remembering that stuff. best show i've ever been to. the spades were a great opener, and matthew good and his band were awesome. me and the girl had the best 'seats' in the house: right against the barrier before the stage, between mr. good and mr. lead-guitar-for-hire.

No worries buddy! I knew I had to post it as soon as I got home or else I'd forget.

 

Yeah, I was 2-3 rows back (we moved up a bit 1/4 of the way through the show) on the left between MG and the bassist.

 

Nice meeting you at the show! Chris is the first Bored member I've ever met. Good times! Also, please share pics if you got some good ones!

i've wittled down the pics we took to 102 keepers so far. she gets the credit for most of the good ones. some of those are really smoky (holy god damn smoke machines!!), but i still like em. a few are really good. think i'm gonna upload them to flickr er something. i'll let ya know.

Hi !

 

I just got back home from the Moncton show !

 

"Wow" ...is all that I can say...what a fantastic show !

 

My first time seeing Matt live (I'm a new fan)

 

Plus the Radiohead that was playing after the show (Radiohead being my fav band)...was great to hear !

Were you up front? Cause I was close to the stage and people were mostly well behaved

 

except I noticed a million bottles were smashed into pieces on the floor... ;)

I was right at the back. I turned up quite late as I was watching Leonard Cohen and then I had some issues getting into the venue, so there wasn't really anywhere else to stand. I had a good view, it was just the constant chattering that was a pain.

It's ok, I've been to lots of great shows (including Halifax last night) - there are always going to be those that don't measure up for whatever reason. I'll be at Massey Hall next week and am really looking forward to that ;)

There were also a couple guys standing outside the tour bus afterwards screaming "PLAY RICO!!" repeatedly. Just when I started thinking "Oh, nobody yelled for Rico this show.."
