If Matt had a tour for just the hardcore, would you pay $100 to see him play? Maybe a small venue. Maybe only one show per province or area.

Would you pay $100 to hear songs like Advertising on Police Cars? Born to Kill? Man of Action? Change of Season? Tripoli? We're so Heavy?

Would ya?

"album tour" to me sounds like he would play the whole of album... like hearing all of Audio of Being live or such.

your idea is a great idea, would love to hear some old classics, just for the true fans. but one show per province just wouldn't work unless he played somewhere huge in each province.

Based on today's economy, and the high cost of living I will not be willing to shell out that amount of money for any band. I don't care if it is the dream setlist I wanted Matt to play my whole life. It doesn't matter on the size of the venue, or any of that. While Matt may be one of my favorite artist I simply would not do it.

If I had enough disposable income when he was due to come through my part of the country, yes absolutely.

Since people are posting their fantasy setlists, I'll give it a try:

1. Change Of Season

2. Man Of Action

3. The Fall Of Man

4. I Miss New Wave

5. Fearless

6. Double Life

7. Invasion 1

8. Let's Get It On

9. Near Fantastica

10. Advertising On Police Cars

11. Suburbia

12. Prime Time Deliverance

13. The Inescapable Us

14. Tripoli

15. Look Happy, It's The End Of The World

1st Encore

16. While We Were Hunting Rabbits

17. Truffle Pigs

18. She's Got A New Disguise

19. Sort Of A Protest Song

2nd encore

20. A Boy And His Machine Gun

21. Jenni's Song

22. Born To Kill

That was hard just to narrow it down to what I did. I excluded anything from WLRRR because I saw that tour, and I think anything more recent can't yet be considered "rare". At least, not that rare.

I went to 5 shows on this tour, would gladly go to another 5 shows at a $100 dollar price tag if it were going to be a kinda rarities show. The problem is though really how many people would pay $100 dollars to see that though. I mean realistically do you think 1000 people would? Obviously the core group on this site would, But how many does that add up too? Maybe 5-10 per major city?

I'd absolutly love it though, the chance to possibly hear songs like

A Boy and His Machine Gun

Symbolistic White Walls

Born to Kill

Running for Home

Jenni's Song

Suburbia

Advertising on Police Cars

Alabama Motel Room

Primetime Deliverence

Under the influence

Fall of Man

Man of Action

shit I can just go on like this too, definetly would blow my mind.

Big picture. It's $100. In the sense of a rock concert that may be a lot of money, but if you were promised that it would be an intimate show full of the songs you've always wanted to hear live ad only those songs, could you really price that memory you'd have for the rest of your life at $100? That seems awfully cheap in that line of thinking.

Good idea, and as I mentioned before - the things I would do for a tour like this. Or even playing an entire album as a show, just from the old days. Imagine AoB in one sitting, live with a full band from beginning to end. Oh, some terrible, terrible things...

I think there's a lot of hardcore Matt fans that don't even know about this site. Lots more than we think.

Yep, for sure. I know a few big fans but they aren't here, but that's not to say they wouldn't shell that money out.

When you are unemployed, and have $30,00 in Medical Debt does it seem cheap now?

I rather get out of debt.

i think you're taking the idea a little too personal.

oh and thank god for health care.

When I am told I am cheap for not willing to go, and you have no fucking clue what my income is, you should fucking think before you react.

I am in the US, and I have no health care.

Fuck you.

definitley taking it a little too serious.

if you figure 30/ticket gets you about an hour and a half. for $100 He should play 3-4 hours, regardless of how intimate or exclusive the material would be. I don't see that being possible for MG, MAYBE if he only played 2-3 times a week. But that's a long time to play and sing.

But throwing the logistics and reality out. If he would play some of the lesser played songs and play long enough to offset the cost/time that would be cool and i'd go.

The reason why I am like this simple.

I have my own fucking opinion, and I am getting tired of getting shit, and shot down for it. You open things up for debate, and then when I debate you fucking thing you know it all.

So whats the point of stating my opinions at all?
