I love the violin solo in Rebellion, but haven't heard any of their other stuff so...

When I first got this CD, I wasn't really impressed with the instrumental parts of the songs. But eventually, they grew on me. The lyrics are really incredible and I think they are the best quality of this band. I recommend this album to everyone.

I think that just the music itself is their best quality as a band. The individual instrumental work isn't spectacular, but as an ensemble it works really well.

The first time I ever heard them, I was slightly interested, but then I didn't really like them. That happens with a lot of bands I now love. As of right now, Funeral is one of my most played CD's.

 

My favorites are Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels), Neighborhood #3 (Power Out), Wake Up, Haiti, and Rebellion (Lies). I absolutely love the last three.

They've got some new tunes (demos, I'd assume) out that I've found kicking around Limewire. Intervention and Sonata are both pretty good.

Well they've kind of already got 2... I think they're too unique or talented or something to be a one-album wonder. They've already got tons of good songs on Funeral alone.

anyone see them on snl this weekend? not to crazy about the first song they played. the second one was pretty good. from what ive heard it doesnt really sound like that much of a progression from funeral. i realise that that was only 2 songs, so im hoping the new record will be as great as funeral

I just saw Arcade Fire play on Saturday Night Live last weekend, and they were awesome! I never really heard them before. They played "Intervention" from their new album, it was amazing. Downloaded the whole album & its pretty great. Will have to check out some of their older album.

 

And can i say this: THANK FUCKING GOD I FINALLY FOUND A GREAT MODERN BAND, AND THAT THEY DON'T WEAR FUCKING STUPID BLACK EYE-LINER!!!!
