Former Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious stabs girlfriend Nancy Spungeon to death in room 100 of New York's Chelsea Hotel. Because Sid remembers nothing about the crime, theories include robbery and an abortive suicide pact. Vicious dies of an ugly heroin overdose shortly before his trial.

and you know why he ODed? His mom threw him a big party after he got released on bail and bought her son an extravagant amount of Heroin.

 

 

 

My mom never buys me drugs.... ;)

that's the same with my mom. she promises me drugs, but then she goes and uses them for herself. selfish bitch. :angry:

On the morning of October 12, 1978 Vicious allegedly awoke from a drugged stupour to find Spungen crumpled dead on the bathroom floor of room 100 in the Hotel Chelsea in New York. She had received a single stab wound to her abdomen and apparently bled to death. Vicious was arrested and charged with her murder although he said he had no memory of having done so. However, he later claimed to have "killed her because I'm a dirty dog". There are unsubstantiated theories Spungen was murdered by someone else, usually said to be one of the many drug dealers who visited the apartment.

 

That's the best I can offer.

apparently, not being able to play bass or know where you are for that matter is more "punk rock" than anything else.

Thats basically the description of punk.

well i don't think punk was all bad. i'm just saying that the sex pistols sucked at it. the clash effing rocked and so did the ramones. the misfits were quite good as well. but punk isn't my thing. what followed in its footsteps is (goth rock, new wave, hardcore, grunge, etc. )

it had sid's fingerprints on it, but it was his knife.

 

they also found a suicide note from nancy to her younger brother.

nancy suffered from many physcological problems before she even met sid or became involved with drugs. nancy spungen's whole life is extremely interesting. as was sids.

 

i am a big ... (fan doesn't seem like the right word, but i'll use it anyways)... fan of them both.

yeah, she was a complete mental case and he was very much in love with her and not that bright, which means that she could say 'if you really love me, prove it and stab me in the gut' and the poor guy coulda done it just to prove to her how much he loved her.

 

but honestly i think it's very likely she killed herself.
