Alright I did SWW (my rendition) with Fated...I'll post both of them up when I'm done messing around with them and you can choose which one sucks the less ;)

As for me, the sound is crap, so I'll have to buy new strings before I re-record them. I should have them up monday.

I've got an unfinished version of She's Got A New Disguise up on my Purevolume page. I'm still working on it but I like to chuck stuff on there to get some advice/comments. I realize its drowning in reverb, the lead guitar is pretty rough and my voice is off key but I'll fix that eventually.

 

If its on the right track for this compilation thing then I'll put a finished version up for download, otherwise I'll just keep it on the listen only option.

Nice tone there and I'm secure enough in my sexuality to say you have a pretty sounding voice.

What he said. Other then not letting the picking shine through at the end I thought it was very nicely done.

Since YouSendIt links expire after a week. I've been thinking that perhaps we should set up an account at a website like http://www.putfile.com and share the username and password so everyone who has a cover recorded can upload it there.

 

I can't seem to open an account there, it says they aren't accepting registerations from my area, so if anyone can open an account there on knows of an other website like that where you can upload your files for an unlimited amount of time, that would be great. Use a username like mgtribute or something like that.

Wow, I'm really digging Carmelina and Primetime. Great work guys. And sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my thingy may be awhile. My band and I have finally started recording our originals, and we're in constant preparation for oour first gig on May 5th.

 

If you'd like Shiri, I can re post my old version of Tripoli, though I don't think it's good enough for this cool project. It's just a live take, rather than a nicely edited piece. Or, alternatively, you could just wait awhile for a hopefully awesome version of it. Just lemmie know.

 

I'm really sorry, but I assure you that once I get permission to upload our original stuff, it'll be worth it.

 

Hmmmm....maybe I can just do it with my dad...I dunno, but I'm thinking about it and I'll try my best.

Get some of your original stuff up online somewhere and good luck with your first gig. Tear it up.

Check Radio Shack, they have adaptors that fit onto the male end of the mic and change it to the size of a headphone jack. They're fairly cheap and with one of those your mic chord can plug directly into your sound card.

I have no idea when I'm going to record my cover either. I borrowed my girlfriend's acoustic guitar because I only have an electric and a classical but it just doesn't sound good. I really need to buy an acoustic guitar... Maybe I'll play it on my electric, I'm still undecided.

Following in trend, I destroyed my speaker cable last week because it was failing to fulfill its duty of providing me with clear and unstratchy sound so I'm going to need to make a trip into Red Deer here in the next couple days to replace it.

 

Thus, no cover for a bit longer.

he is an artist...

i'd give any work he put out a fair go and would probably enjoy it...regardless of the diversity...i love what he has to say (ev en if I dont always understand it from his point of view) lyrically and musicially he has never disappointed me.
