Oasis has to be the greatest band I've ever heard (yes, I think they're better than led zeppelin and pink floyd) Any fans around here?

i agree totally. i had led zep and pink floyd. so overrated.

I think Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are very overrated albums (this I can agree on), but come on...Meddle, More, Obscured by Clouds? These are brilliant. The song Echoes alone is better than Oasis' whole discography.

I didn't say I disliked zeppelin and floyd, I think their music is great, but it's the songwriting of oasis that appeals to me. Zeppelin has some awful tunes (most bands do) but when I say awful I mean awful. Hot Dog for example, can't stand that song. As for pink floyd, I only listen to their music if I put the whole album on, but it's great stuff.

There's some great songs on that album, I really think it's mightily underrated; Gas Panic! , Sunday Morning Call, and Roll It Over are fantastic.

 

And that's coming from someone who wouldn't call themselves an Oasis fan.

Sorry I did not stop the cd after two songs, I have heard the cd in full length, and did not enjoy any of it, I don't find the cd as the best quality they have ever done. I just could not get into the other songs, for me they just seemed to drag on.

 

I am picky about my music and my likes and dislikes, and I dislike this cd, but I do like the others, esp Be Here Now, which is my fav cd of theirs.

i liked oasis's old stuff. However their newest cd is complete garbage, it really disappointed me. It's practically 11 tracks that sound the exact same.
